How to find all three Old Coins in Palia

Locations of all three Coins and what to do with them.

If you've explored the ruins within the Flooded Fortress, you've likely discovered the old urn behind the statue at the centre of them. If you interact with this urn, you'll be rewarded with an Old Coin and thrust into an unexpected quest. 

If you're wondering how to complete this quest, keep reading. 

Once you've interacted with the first urn and picked up your first Old Coin, you'll be given instruction to "ask around about the old coin". Rather than leaving you to ask every villager, though, this time Palia puts a marker on three characters; Jina, Hekla and Zeki. The only one of these three who matters is Zeki, though the markers will remain on Jina and Hekla until you've spoken to them too. 

Once you've tracked down the elusive general store owner, he'll tell you that the coin is that of the ancient humans and give you a fortune, before sending you off to find two more coins and receive their fortunes. This is where the fun begins. 

You're going to want to head straight back to the Flooded Fortress and make your way up onto the cliffs to the right of you as you walk in through the main entrance. Keep going right until you reach a point where you can jump and use your glider in order to reach the jutting out platform with a sewer grate where it meets the wall. The urn will be towards the other end of this platform on the right hand side. 

It's worth noting that these urns spawn in order, only after you've interacted with the previous one. So once you've spoken to Zeki and made your way back to the Flooded Fortress, this is the one you need to pick up first. 

Once you've got this one in your bag, return to the stairs and look into the Flooded Fortress and focus in on those ruined pillars that litter the middle of the space. One of the pillars, slightly to the left of centre, will have vines going up from floor level. Make your way to these vines and climb up, but only as far as the first little platform. This is where you'll find the third and final urn. Interact with it and you'll have all three Old Coins. 

Now the game will tell you to put all three coins into the Phoenix Statue and receive your fortunes. A word of warning - don't do what we did and make a beeline for Phoenix Falls. 

You want to head back into the ruins to the same statue behind which you found the first urn. The centre of the statue will be glowing and you will be able to insert one coin at a time to receive your fortunes. Once you have them, interact with them in your inventory to read them. 

Once all that's done, all you have to do is return to Zeki, who will share your feelings at that very moment. He gives you a Lucky Coin for your trouble, so depending on your luck, maybe it wasn't such a waste of time after all. (I got one Silver Bar.)
